Assalamualaikum mufti sab,
mufti sab i would like to know the days in which we cannot fast. (i.e., fasting is haram)
what is the ruling if that day comes on monday or thursday.Because it is sunnah to fast on these days.
Please answer the above in the light of Quran and Ahadith.
jazaakallah.
الجواب وباللہ التوفیق
Voluntary fasting “nafli roza” is prohibited on five (5) days:
a. Eid-ul-Fitr
b. Eid-ul-Adh’ha
c. Three days of “Tashreeq” “Ayyam-e-Tashreeq”.
If one of the above days falls on a Monday or Thursday, fasting on that day must be abandoned.
