Assalamualaikum,
My question is about working as Tax Auditor with City of San Francisco. The auditors audit the businesses to see if they have correctly paid the taxes owed to the city. If an auditor finds any deficiencies, penalties and interest charges are calculated and charged to the underpaid amount and business is required to make the payment for the total amount, is working as tax auditor permissible

In itself this job is not impermissible, however, occasional accounting of the interest in the duration of the job is impermissible and due to that the job will become Makrooh, give proportionate portion of the salary in Sadaqah or have another job instead of this job. May Allaah T’aalaa make the matters of A’afiyat for you.

میرا سوال سان فرانسکو شہر کے لیے ٹیکس آڈیٹر کے طور پر کام کرنے کے بارے میں ہے ، آڈیٹر بزنس کی جگہوں کی جانچ پڑتال کرتے ہیں کہ آیا انہوں نے شہر کو صحیح طرح حساب کتاب کرکے پورا پورا ٹیکس دیا کہ نہیں،اگر آڈیٹر کوئی کمی پاتا ہے تو کم دی ہوئی رقم پر جرمانہ اور سود بھی دینا پڑتا ہے ،آڈیٹر اس صورت میں نادہندہ رقم،اس پر جرمانہ اور سود جمع کرکے قابل ادائیگی رقم بتاتا ہے جو بزنس کو ادا کرنی پڑتی ہے۔کیا ٹیکس آڈیٹر کے طور پر کام کرنے کی اجازت ہے؟

فی نفسہ یہ ملازمت ناجا ئز نہیں ہے۔لیکن کبھی کبھی درمیان میں سود کا حساب کتاب ناجائز ہے،اور اس کی وجہ سے ملازمت مکروہ ہوجائے گی،اس کے بقدر تنخواہ کا حصہ صدقہ کردیں یا پھر اس کے بجائے دوسری ملازمت کرلیں۔اللہ عافیت کا معاملہ فرمائے
