is the use of condoms alllowed

الجواب وباللہ التوفیق
بسم اللہ الرحمن الرحیم
The use of condoms is illegal and haram when it is to prevent having children due to financial fear.
If it is due to wife's weakness and unbearable pain or fear of loss of pregnancy or for any other genuine excuse, then there is scope for it.
And using it in general situations without any necessity or on the basis of fashionableness, is abominable because it is against the intention of Islamic Shariah.
The Holy Prophet (SAW) has said:
تزوجوا الودود الولود فانی مکاثر بکم الامم
He (PBUH) said: “Marry women who will give birth to many children, because I will be proud (on the Day of Resurrection) because of the abundance of my Ummah".
(مشکوۃ ۲/۲۷۶)
لمافی القرآن الکریم: وَلَا تَقْتُلُوْ اَوْلَادَكُمْ خَشْيَةَ إِمْلَاقٍ نَّحْنُ نَرْزُقُهُمْ وَإِيَّاكُمْ إنَّ قَتْلَهُمْ كَانَ خِطْأً كَبِيْرًا۔ (الاسراء:۳۱)
ثم سألوہ عن العزل، فقال رسول اللّٰہ صلی اللّٰہ علیہ وسلم: ذٰلک وأد الخفي، وہي إذا المؤودۃ سئلت۔ (صحیح مسلم ۱؍۴۶۶)
إن خاف من الولد السوء في الحرۃ یسعد العزل بغیر رضاہا لفساد الزمان، فلیعتبر مثلہ من الأعذار مسقطاً لإذنہا۔ (شامي ۴؍۳۳۵ زکریا)
