Is it permissible to visit historical sites in Madinah (and in surrounding areas), other than Uhud and Quba', such as Badr, Khandaq, Qiblatain, Taif, etc?
Visiting historical sites that are associated with the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, the Companions (Ṣaḥābah) رضي الله عنهم, or significant events in Islamic history is permissible for the purpose of gaining historical knowledge and taking lessons from them. However, it is not correct to regard visiting such places, in and of itself, as an act of worship or as something that inherently earns spiritual reward.
