A dog's saliva is purified by washing three times, washing seven times is not mandatory. The rest of the body is pure, it does not need to be washed. The traditions that mention washing seven times were originally in Islam, but were later abrogated.  The fatwah on this is that it is obligatory to wash three times only, but washing seven times is recommended. 

Since many years have passed since this incident, they have been purified, so do not pay attention to these whispers now. 

اذا ولغ الکلب فی الاناء فاہرقہ واغسلہ ثلث مرات(سنن دار قطنی: رقم:۱۹۰/۱۹۳)

قال رسول اللّٰہ صلی اللّٰہ علیہ وسلم اذا ولغ الکلب فی اناء احدکم فلیہرقہ ولیغسلہ ثلاث مراتٍ( الکامل الابن عدی بحوالہ معارف السنن ص:۳۲۵ج:)

فسؤر خنزیر و کلب و سباع بھائم …  نجس مغلظ الخ ( رد المحتار مع الدر ۱/۲۲۲‘۲۲۳)
