الجواب وباللہ التوفیق

Earnings through YouTube will be deemed halal if the following conditions are met:

a. There should not be an image of a living being, because there are strict prohibitions and warnings on the images of a living beings.

b. Even if there is a picture of an inanimate object, it should not contain obscenity.

c. It should not contain music and obscenity.

d. Illegal contracts should be avoided.

e. Advertisements of illegal or haram businesses and matters should not be included in it.

It should be noted that if illegal contents are being run on it, then the  time the wrongful items were displayed should be totaled and the amount of money calculated against that specific time period should be given in charity. 

But since the channels are watched in different parts of the world and where what is being broadcasted on them is not known. Also, in these times impure temptations, indecency and bad intentions are common. No doubt, the voice of women is a source of temptations for men as well, and for this specific reason, women have been prevented from calling the Azan for prayers and for making other religious announcements in public.

The blessed wives of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) were ordered in Surah Al-Ahzab as: "Oh wives of the Prophet! You are not like any other women: If you are mindful 'of Allah', then do not be overly effeminate in speech 'with men' or those with sickness in their hearts may be tempted but speak in a moderate tone. (Aayah 32).

Apart from the above, it is also difficult to run a channel in the current era, considering the above conditions, because even if those conditions are taken care of, the YouTube administration runs advertisements on the channel at their own will, which contain many non-Shari’ah contents, therefore some scholars have declared it illegitimate, so, it should better be avoided. 

ال اللہ تعالیٰ: وَلَا تَعَاوَنُوا عَلَى الْإِثْمِ وَالْعُدْوَانِ (سورہ المائدہ)

الدر الختار میں ہے:

’’قال ابن مسعود: صوت اللهو و الغناء ينبت النفاق في

القلب كما ينبت الماء النبات. 

قلت: و في البزازية:

استماع صوت الملاهي كضرب قصب و نحوه حرام؛

لقوله عليه الصلاة والسلام: استماع الملاهي معصية، و

الجلوس عليها فسق، والتلذذ بها كفر؛ أي بالنعمة. ‘‘ (6/ 348 -349، ط:سعيد)

الاستئجار ‌على ‌المعاصي أنه لا يصح لأنه استئجار على منفعة

غير مقدورة الاستيفاء شرعا كاستئجار الإنسان للعب واللهو،

وكاستئجار المغنية، والنائحة للغناء، والنوح(.كتاب الاجارة،
